Macro Orchid

I shot this image with two setups.

The first was with a Canon 600D 32mm extension tubes at 85mm. There are two strobes – one key light, one rim light set off with radio triggers. This took close to 45 minutes to set up and shoot.

I then used an Olympus Epl-5 with a Zenit 50mm lens + extension tube. I also shot with a Lumix 45-200 ,but the Zenit is a tilt F2.0.

The Olympus frustratingly will not accept triggers on the hot shoe. But Live view is a godsend with Macro photography. I lit the shot using a Ryobi LED camp light – which required very little white balance adjustment. Shoot time 4 minutes!

Lightroom 5 development only.Orchid ( Phalaenopis)

I’m not saying which camera took this image – you tell me.
