The Colosseum, Rome

Inside the Colosseum

Inside the Colosseum

This is one Amazing an innovative piece of Architecture!

It took 10 years to build ,with Emperor Vespasian starting construction in 70AD and being completed by Titus in 80 AD.

It could hold 50 – 80,000 people and it could empty in around 15 -20 minutes. Modern Stadiums of similar size cannot match this.

Departing was one thing, if you were a christian, at the time, I doubt you would have wanted to enter it!
