Lake Jindabyne is South of Canberra, Australia’s National Capital.
It is a man made lake formed by the Jindabyne Dam.
This Dam is part of the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Scheme, a massive public works program, that saw many Migrants from all over the world begin their life in Australia.
The weather changes in the area are dramatic, as this is the highest Alpine area of Australia
The Lake is used for many water based activities including Sailing.
The dam is also stocked with fish including Trout.
It also Accommodates Snow Skiers, who flock here during the Ski season, which really runs between Late July to End of September.
