You Gotta Love The Clarity Slider !

What draws your eye in this image?

The Posts? The Sky? The perspective of the boardwalk?

Tick all of the above for me, but what really caught my eye was the end grain of the long exposed timber bearers and the bolt heads holding them together.

When I shoot images, my main objective is to draw the viewer into the photo and for them to see more of it.

You might not have seen the grain, without the image being post processed. Lightroom, Aperture and the like have slider controls to accentuate different elements of the photo.

A lot of photographers disagree with this. They are probably the same ones that held the Film strip up to the light to view the negative.
