Norah Head Lighthouse

Norah Head is a comfortable two hours drive north of Sydney.

The Norah Head Lighthouse was put into service in 1903. It took two years to build and the only significant change in over one hundred and ten years is the electrification of the light.

The Lighthouse is part of a complex including the old light keepers’ quarters that is rented out for holiday accommodation.

If you can’t get into the lighthouse for accommodation ,you can still tour the lighthouse and surrounds. There is a very popular Tourist Park about a kilometre down the road with Cabins ,Caravan and camping sites.

If History isn’t your thing – the area provides plenty of other activities to keep you occupied , with great surfing beaches, all along this coastline.
