While Bondi is perhaps the best known beach in Sydney, it certainly isn’t the prettiest. Yes ‘The Beautiful People’ are there and so are the crowds, parking is an issue and after you have been for a swim you have to negotiate concrete and crowds.
But if you come over to Sydney’s Northern Beaches – This is what awaits you.
This stretch of Paradise starts at Long Reef Headland ( that long finger of land in the background) and ends at Narrabeen Lakes entrance. It includes Collaroy Basin, Collaroy, South And North Narrabeen.
If that isn’t enough, on the other side of Long Reef there is another strip nearly as long, terminating at Dee Why.
They are just some of at least a dozen accessible Beaches on this side of the Harbour.
If you haven’t rented a car, Public transport either Ferry or Bus will get you here.
When you come to Sydney leave Bondi to the locals ,come over here, but please don’t tell those locals where you are going.
