Visualisation – Your most important Accessory

If someone asked you what is the most important thing you can take with you on a photo expedition, what would your answer be?

I posted an image of Norah Head Lighthouse on the 10th of August.

This is another, shot form a different angle.

If you are going somewhere to take a photo – stand there for a few minutes ( Light Allowing ) and take in the possible angles and perspectives offered to you.

Visualise where you will set up,what lens will you use, maybe with an ND filter or Polariser.

The physical equipment is a secondary issue. There is an old Press Editor’s saying:

“F8 and Be There!”

This image was taken with an Olympus EPL-5 ,Lumix 8mm Fisheye lens.Five exposures where taken and merged in Photomatix Pro.

And it came out just the way I visualised it.
