Bronze Cannon – Tower Of London

The detail on this Bronze Cannon is mind blowing – pardon the pun.

The difficulty in making this a black and white image, is the background of the Tower Building blends with the same grey scale as the cannon.

I thought the best way of getting around this problem, was to use Macphun Toning software.

Original image Canon AT-1 , 50mm lens, Kodachrome 64, scanned into Lightroom 5 for development and finished with Macphun Tonality Pro

Pity about the fence. I’m sure it stops a lot of Cannon pilfering

*When I first posted this Blog ,I spelt Cannon with one “n”. As in the Camera Company. Sorry about that. A bit of trivia for you, Canon’s, the manufacturers in Japan, name was derived from “Kwannon or Kwinnan”
