Portrait Of A Flower

I treat flower photography as I would a portrait sitting.

If you are starting out in Portraiture and Wedding photography ,flowers make great models to check your lighting technique.

What they won’t do is fidget and answer back – so if your into Children’s portraits, it mightn’t be the way to go!

This Orchid was shot with a Beauty Dish on a hand held strobe , with a reflector giving me the fill light.

The Set up

I use flash triggers and with the camera on the tripod, vary the angle of the strobe in my hand and remotely fire the camera with the trigger attached to the strobe.
