I have been a Photographer for over 35 years and I hope the images on this Blog bear testament to that!

My first camera was a Kodak Brownie, then Mum gave me a Voigtlander to take on a school excursion.

The ensuring slide show at the Parent / Teacher meeting was a hit – I’d hit the big time.

I started professionally, as a Wedding photographer , on returning from an extended stay in Europe.

I have shot over 300 Weddings, numerous Portraits,Events for people Like Volvo and ABI,Commercial shoots as diverse as BHP to a Saddler making Bespoke riding equipment.

Photography has not been my sole income, over the years,I wouldn’t want it to be. A diverse background assists your growth as a photographer, and as a Human Being. But I have always considered myself , A Photographer.

These days, I shoot what interests me and I hope it interests you too!

If you are curious in Behind the Scenes “stuff” about each image, you can read the blog – it goes up and down & if you click on the arrows it goes back and Forward, in time sequence.

Hit the Gallery – for a slide show version.

Thanks for stopping by.

    • Thank you for your kind words.i have found you never stop improving whatever stage you are at. I first saw your images on Monochrome Madness , and i think they are very good – i also like the way you group six images together.

  3. Thank you so much Rob for following our adventures in sailing and photography! Really appreciate your interest. Chris

    • Your Welcome. Photography and Boating – you have the perfect Blog subjects.

    • I recognized the TIE from Cruising Helmsman

      • Ah! A CH reader! Do you sail?

      • Not currently, but I have been a CH subscriber for years.
My “current project” is taking my tinnie up East Coast estuaries using Alan Lucas’s cruising the NSW Coast. ( I’ve got the first addition from years back, but also have sixth edition.)
That’s where the weeks monochrome madness came from. Sunshine- a small hamlet on western shore of Lake Macquarie.

      • Ah we spent Christmas in the Lake, waiting for the right weather to go north… Never made it to our intended destination of Lord Howe again and explored every nook and cranny of the coast instead. Hopefully Phil Ross the editor of CH will publish the article of the gems we found in the April edition!

      • That would be great. I like the southern stories too , so you might have a word. I think the Lakes area is great story material.
