Wheat Silo – Newell Hwy, New South Wales

This wheat silo is typical of hundreds dotted all over the country, next to Railway lines in Australia. They vary in number of towers, in a group. This one has four.

I have just come back from Country New South Wales. This particular silo is about a five hour drive from Sydney, between Parkes and Forbes. Parkes is Famous for the Radio Telescope, that appeared in the movie “The Dish”.

I was going to drop in a Seascape for you, to mix the blog up a bit – but I’ve got ‘Car Lag’

The white lines you see on the first silo tower is a crack repair and not a graffiti cover up! Mind you, any Graffiti Artist ,who climbs a four storey silo, deserves to have his Art shown.

To accentuate the wide open spaces,I shot this with a an 8mm Fisheye lens. I lowered the lens slightly to get a concave horizon and added the convex  halo in post.
